Vanguard Center’s master plan currently calls for the dedication of up to 1.4 million square feet for office and office/flex space, laboratory and light industrial space for high-tech businesses that support Sandia National Laboratories and Kirtland Air Force Base organizations. The flexibility of the planned design will allow tenants to have facilities for classified and non- classified work on either side of the security fence. The facility also has the ability to offer the latest Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) and progressive collapse security requirements inside and outside Kirtland Air Force Base’s security fence. Groundbreaking for the project is planned for 2009

Private: There are three fiber systems near the site which have capacity to be extended to the site. They are: DOE network, DOD Network, and Lockheed Martin Network.

Public: Qwest , Verizon, Qwest, and Time Warner all have fiber in the public right of way of Gibson.
